Route 66 Catoosa Bridge

OETA’s Angela Rosecrans has more on the story.

Perry Carnegie Library Celebrates Centennial

April 19th, 2010

One of only seven Carnegie Libraries in the state remains standing in Perry. The 1909 historical building still serves its original purpose and over the years the community has worked hard to preserve its natural beauty.

OETA’s Angela Rosecrans reports:

In the early 1900’s, Andrew Carnegie made his way across the country and around the world establishing libraries. Carnegie originally set-up 25 libraries here in Oklahoma.
The Perry Library is the second oldest Carnegie Library in the state. And with the continued support of the community it will still be standing strong in another 100 years.
