Edmond lawmaker files for treasurer run

OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) - State Rep. Ken Miller has filed campaign
paperwork indicating his plans to seek the state treasurer post in
2010.
The Edmond Republican on Monday filed a Statement of
Organization form with the Oklahoma Ethics Commission that shows he
plans to run for the position.
A campaign committee report for the period from July 1 to Sept.
30 shows Miller transferred $141,000 from his state House campaign
and raised another $65,000 during the reporting period. He reported
having a campaign account balance of more than $202,000 at the end
of the period.
Current Treasurer Scott Meacham, a Democrat, has said he will
not seek another term in office.
Republican former state Sen. Owen Laughlin of Woodward also has
indicated he plans to seek the post.
